PETER R. LAWSON has been both down and up the hierarchy. Once when he was broke and unemployed he was down far enough to pawn his watch to buy food. Later in life he was near the top of the hierarchy as Dean of an Episcopal Cathedral. He is a lifelong student with experience in a number of diverse systems as a dock builder, cab driver, businessman, political organizer, nonprofit executive, counselor, organizational development and management consultant and pastor. His search for true humanity led him to experiment with new ways to structure organizations. Following the scholarship of the Third Search for the Historical Jesus, he sees Jesus as a radical, reconstructionist visionary whose message and program offer socially, economically and politically disenfranchised people powerful guidance toward a just and abundant new world order. |
